Annual Report 2006 on the activity of the Russian Paleogene Commission

1. Review the research directions
The Paleogene Commission of the All-Russian Stratigraphical Committee (32 constant numbers) represented different organizations of the Russian Acad. Sci., Ministry of the Natural Resources, State Museums and Universities.
In 2006 Members of Commission took part in 13 International and All-Russian meetings and prepared more then 30 presentations on different problems of Paleogene stratigraphy, paleontology, paleogeography and biospheric events.

Meeting (Geological Institute Acad. Sci., Paleontological Inst. Acad Sci., VSEGEI, Botanical Inst. Acad. Sci. State Geological Museum, Moscow and Tyumen Universities (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tyumen), 2 specialists from Ukraine, (Dnepropetrovsk University) (I.M. Barg) and Azerbaidzhan (Geological Oil and Gas Institute), Baku (M. Efendieva).
