The Paleogene Planktonic Foraminifera Working Group has been active over 25 years and dealing with comprehensive revisions to the taxonomy and biostratigraphy of Paleogene taxa.  Atlases on Paleocene (Olsson and others, 1999), Eocene (Pearson and others, 2006) and Oligocene planktonic foraminifera (Wade et al. 2018) have  been published.  They aim to establish a clear and workable taxonomy for all Paleogene planktonic foraminifera, including SEM images of holotypes and paratypes, some of which have never been imaged before. We are assessing the distribution, stratigraphic ranges and phylogeny of each morphospecies, as well as bringing together the literature on their stable isotope paleobiology. The Atlas of Oligocene Planktonic Foraminifera contains over 1600 SEM images and is invaluable to anyone undertaking Oligocene and early Miocene planktonic foraminiferal biostratigraphy or geochemistry.
